By definition a colony is “a group of individuals with common characteristics or interests in close association.” (Merriam Webster) Within the book of Acts we find evidence of the first group of individuals who met and lived in a small colony. That colony was within a community but separate from it. Separate in belief, attitude and action.

They were together on all fronts, the shared what they had with each other, they grew strong through learning from the Word of God, and they ministered to one another in prayer and daily support.

At Rockbridge Church we believe this model is needed in today’s world especially. To meet this need we have established both Men’s and Woman’s groups. They are composed of members united together for the common good.
